The Dan Wesson Valor is a really solid value buy at its price point. A better question to ask is Valor or Les Baer. May 9, 2017 · I have no doubt that Dan Wesson makes a fine line of 1911's. But I do not believe there is any way to compare it to a Wilson Combat. More than 17 years ago I purchased a Wilson CQB, 45ACP, full size, twelve Wilson mags and a lined kidex Wilson holster. All for $1485.

The DWX Compact and the Wilson SFX9 have been my top two candidates for Ultimate EDC. I think the DWXc just acceded to the top of the list. And it doesn't hurt that the price tag on that Wilson was a bit over $2800...! A full $1000 more than what the DWXc is going for. I expect the DWXc will at least be a ltitle heavier than the DWX trigger.

BUT I’d like to have a very honest/frank discussion about Wilson’s finishes, primarily the Armor Tuff finish. Note: I own one factory blued Wilson.I use Wilson 47Ds in my VBob - also McCormicks and the factory Checkmates. No problems with any of them.
