Most factory turbo vehicles already flow enough air through the stock intake system to support sometimes double the standard power, or higher.TheTopher: 2023 Volkswagen Jetta Sport (6-Speed Manual) Maybe it's gearing, maybe it's the low down torque, but it gets to 60 in about the same time as a Civic Si. That's awesome value for $23k. That's more of a comment on how poor the SI performs at getting up to speed than the quickness of this car, but agreed.31 Agu 2018 ... The '19/20/21 GTI increased by $4000 from the 2015, so it was advantageous to look at other similar models. Saw the video yesterday, I have to say I was very exited just looking at the title. My biggest surprise was him saying how the GLI was meant to be AWD (Jetta R I assume would be the name) but knowing how markets work I know at least in the states it would outsell the Golf R since Americans like sedans more then Hatchbacks. From my experience, VW's are pretty reliable as long as they are well maintained. The '19/20/21 GTI increased by $4000 from the 2015, so it was advantageous to look at other similar models. Biggest difference is that you can get a 2015 Golf or Golf SportWagen, and that'll be the newer Mk7 Golf, which is, in my opinion, quite a bit nicer inside than the Mk6 Jetta is. That being said, Jettas are easier to find in NA, and you'll have an easier time getting a good price. The other side of that coin is that, in my experience, you're ...You got a vacuum leak. Pop the hood and listen for anything that sounds like rushing air, kinda like a hissing noise. I say also to maybe check the intake hose that come from the filter box as well. Here are some common issues/quirks to be aware of: Timing belt/chain: consider budgeting preventative replacement at around 90-100k miles. They both have the 2.5l (until mid-2014), the transmissions are effectively the same also. The front suspension/subframe is not interchangable, but effectively the same. The mk6 rear suspension could be independent, but most 2.5L cars have a beam. With a performance to match its aggressive looks and comfortable feel, you’ll find any opportunity to show off your sporty-side too.Examples of things I hear: -Really expensive to fix any problems. -High maintenance. This is a problem for me because I'm 18 and not making a ton of money to be able to import parts, and also I don't know anything about cars or car maintenance. I really like the look and feel of Jettas but these two reasons are off-putting to me.The only thing I could do at this point was to let the car run out of gas. That took about two hours just idling in my driveway. Since I can't turn the ignition off completely, this meant that the battery got drained as well. I can't even lock the doors. As if that wasn't enough, the key finally gave up and broke off in the ignition.Vacuum pump leaks can happen but with the manual it's a super easy fix. 09 is mostly out of the years with some stretched timing chains. I'll still say that brittle wiring can be an issue as well as door latches that fail more often than some other brands. The 2.5 with manual is pretty built proof.I've got a 2017 Jetta SE and I had to bring it to the dealer for a replacement window regulator just last week. Don't void your special 6 year warranty with the 2019 model year by trying to make an economy car fast. VW already bumped the 1.4T torque up to 184 ft-lbs stock.
