Many of those that have a nice smell are more difficult in culture and might be challenging to combine in a home setting.Oncidium Sharry Baby is the classic chocolate scented orchid, but one of it’s parents is Oncidium sotoanum and this has an even stronger (too strong perhaps) chocolately fragrance. A rootless plant cannot absorb water and nutrients to make new structures (including roots). It relies entirely on any water and nutrients that are already present in its remaining structures.Sometimes repotting even means using the same pot. If yours is overflowing, you probably want to go up a size, but keep the roots tight in there. Don't worry if the roots won't all bend down to go in the pot; orchid roots like light and air, so it'll be happy with some out of the potting medium.
