Many were overfilling to a total of 2 qts to try to stop bearings from failing. Some were filling through the sensor toward the top of transmission. Don't seem to hear much about it now. 1. Remove the fill plug, place a drain pan under the drain plug and remove the drain plug. 2. Allow the fluid to drain completely, clean the drain plug, and reinstall with a new o-ring sealing gasket.
